SHIELD INDUSTRIAL COATINGS PREVENT CORROSION
It has become a primary product for corrosion prevention, waterproofing, concrete rehabilitation, chemical containment liners, abrasion protection, and other automotive and industrial applications. This is because of the chemical structure that gives these high-performance coatings the ability to have many desirable physical properties, making it adaptable to almost any application.
SHIELD INDUSTRIAL COATINGS PROVIDE STRENGTH
Polyurea coatings can provide exceptional tensile strength but also retain a high elongation percentage to allow the material to expand and contract along with the substrate to prevent cracking and damage to the liner, unlike conventional materials.
SHIELD INDUSTRIAL COATINGS CURE QUICKLY – IMPRESSIVE CURE TIME
One of the best attributes of our polyurea coating is its ability to cure extremely quick; 10 seconds to the touch and 30 seconds before weight can be applied. This means a quicker turn-around time for both the applicator and consumer, unlike traditional epoxies that require a 7-day cure time. Our polyaspartic topcoat cure time is 2 hours.
SHIELD INDUSTRIAL COATINGS HAVE MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS
An optional process for containment applications is by spraying a geotextile fabric with the coating. This method allows most of the coating process to be done at a remote location. The facility can continue to function as normal until the liner is ready to be installed.
This form of application calls for minimal downtime while only the seams of the pre-sprayed geotextile need to be sprayed onsite. By using the geotextile as a substrate, the liner gains about 30% or more of structural integrity and can also make the liner removable, even in some cases reusable.
SHIELD INDUSTRIAL COATINGS ARE PROVEN
Polyurea’s advantages as an industrial coating are becoming more renowned as it continues to prove its durability, speed, and longevity as it is successfully applied and tested throughout the industry.
Polyurea has been applied to many prominent landmarks such as Disney World amusement rides and fountains, the Golden Gate bridge, and London’s iconic Trafalgar Square Fountains.
