One of the best attributes of our polyurea coating is its ability to cure extremely quick; 10 seconds to the touch and 30 seconds before weight can be applied. This means a quicker turn-around time for both the applicator and consumer, unlike traditional epoxies that require a 7-day cure time. Our polyaspartic topcoat cure time is 2 hours.
SHIELD INDUSTRIAL COATINGS HAVE MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS
An optional process for containment applications is by spraying a geotextile fabric with the coating. This method allows most of the coating process to be done at a remote location. The facility can continue to function as normal until the liner is ready to be installed.
This form of application calls for minimal downtime while only the seams of the pre-sprayed geotextile need to be sprayed onsite. By using the geotextile as a substrate, the liner gains about 30% or more of structural integrity and can also make the liner removable, even in some cases reusable.
